Lorreta's birthday card

I made this card for a very special friend, who's birthday is past. Somehow this busy summer has kept us from getting together for our birthday lunch. We have it booked hopefully for tomorrow. I made this card for her while I was camping at Elkwater. The stamp is from a Stampin Up set called Sassy Suzie and colored with copic markers one of my new favorites.

August sketch challange

This was the first card I have ever made by using a sketch, so it was a challange for me to follow. It was fun, something I should try to do more of. This sketch is a challange by designed by Becca Feeken and is for http://www,magnoliastamps.us/

Today started out to be a lovely day, My daughter brought my beautiful grand daughter over to visit. We ventured outside to sit on the deck in the sun to do some painting, alittle craft time :). All of a sudden a swarm of wasps were around us, I grabbed my little grandaughter who is 10 months and my daughter grabbed my 2 year old grandaughter. Me and the little one got away without being stung. My daughter got stung twice and my poor little Aspen got stung 8 times :(.

she is doing ok, they had he checked by the dr. poor thing. First time I seen any around, so now hubby gets the pleasure of doing them in. First picture is Aspen none to happy and the second is the wasp nest just underneath the bench where we were sitting.

my calander page for my magnolia group swap

This is my calendar page I made for my magnolia group. I send in my Nov. pages and will get a 12 month calendar back all done with magnolia stamps. As soon as I get my completed calendar back I will be sure to post it. Tilda and Edwin were stamped and pop dotted on the skating rink park background. I colored the images with copics and use white liquid applique and heated with heat gun for the dimention on the snow.

Today I went out to seven persons for a crop and started on my magnolia calendar for a swap. My month is November and I have to make 13 of them send them off to the states and I will get a completed calendar back. It will be fun to see all the different months done by people I have never met from all over. So far I am happy with it. I will try to get a picture posted tomorrow.
